Focus on redesigning domains
As work becomes faster and cheaper to deliver industrywide, the leaders will be firms that use AI most effectively to control client relationships, workflows, and their underlying data. This means focusing on transforming domains — end-to-end processes that are small enough to be redesigned independently but large enough to deliver meaningful business impact — instead of deploying isolated use cases.
This is exactly how Giraffe sees the problem. But there is a catch in the AEC and real estate world that the framing glosses over. To call these processes parallel is to make something tangled sound ordered. They are not a set of neat lanes you can pick one from and redesign. They are a tangle of tasks and disciplines, and finding the through-lines that can actually be end-to-end-ed is difficult, and iterative.
So Giraffe solves it from the other direction. Rather than asking you to identify your domain first, we let you pull any thread to start: site discovery, feasibility, engagement, design. Whichever one is causing you pain this quarter.
The platform is powerful enough to add real value on one thread on its own. But — and this is the part that matters — once that happens, you quickly find yourself moving to the others. The process that works for feasibility, with small adjustments, works for report generation. Existing asset mapping turns out to be very close to site discovery. The threads were tangled together in the first place, which is why untangling one loosens the next.
Our goal is a gradual thickening of the platform with data, then structure, and eventually knowledge.
That is obviously "transforming domains". But when it is expressed that loftily it is difficult to see what to do with it today. Which is why, in Giraffe, you start small — and grow.
